In April 2018, the project was initiated and the NDI codec was developed. In march2019, the world’s first full NDI encoder NDI studio 4K prototype based on 12G-SDI/HDMI 4K60 was displayed and released. Its release was revolutionary to the industry. At this time, there was no Full NDI encoder based on 12G-SDI in the world. Its emergence received the attention and support of NewTek and NDI managers, and was successfully authorized by NDI CEO, thus, Science Image has become the first batch of R & D manufacturers of NDI embedded devices in the world
NDI Studio 4K has powerful functions, with input and output of 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0. It can support full NDI coding of one channel of 12G-SDI and HDMI 4K60, as well as tally and voice input and de embedding, PTZ function, and integrated aluminum alloy body. Its emergence laid a foundation for the subsequent mini version of NDI codec.
